Get ready for competition season to begin!  Our first team competition will be Titan Grappling Challenge in Norman, Oklahoma.  The tournament is Gi and No-Gi.  Titan has put together a nice site with all info and online registration.  They even have hotels nearby that you can get rooms at.  This will be fun and great place to learn more about your Jiu-Jitsu. Congratulations to Joe "The Nose" Wilk on his win this weekend over a very tough UFC veteran Ryan Roberts.  Joe submitted Roberts in the first round.  Next up for Joe is a title shot in Victory Fighting Championship in Omaha May 1st.  Check out this site for more information:

Congratulations to Tony "24k" Goldsby on his win this weekend in Topeka.  Tony overwhelmed his opponent in the first round with strikes from the mount.  Great job to Tony and all his training partners.

Watch Combatives Sport Center instructor and fighter Joe "The Nose" Wilk on HDNET's M1 Mixfight.  Joe will be fighting on December 26th in Seattle Washington.  He is a new member of Team USA.

This past weekend three fighters from our gym competed in Junction City.

Outstanding job to them and all the fighters who came and supported them.

Combative Sport Center went undefeated in 2008, not losing a single MMA fight.

We know that 2009 will have a lot to offer with new fighters stepping into the ring for the first time and current champions moving up to bigger shows.

Everyone who competed brought home at least one medal! Outstanding! The initial point tally indicates that the second place team scored only 9pts, meaning the Team Trophy stays right here in Manhattan KS! A big thanks to Sean Roberts for coaching and assistance with the win.  Way to go guys!

MMA Results:

Brandon Bear wins MMA debut in Hays, KS!  Bear quickly secured a takedown and pounded his opponent into referee stoppage.  Bear looked great and looks now to the next challenge.

We are currently getting ready for the Best of the Best Tournament in Omaha this weekend.  Jon Menke and Joe Wilk are in Superfights and the rest of the team is going to retain our overall team championship. 

MMA Action in Hays, KS has CSC fighter Brandon Bear.

MMA in Manhattan!  December 19th.  Brandon Bear, Gregg Van De Creek and Jake Lindsey all scheduled to fight.

Finally, CSC Coach and Fighter Joe "The Nose" Wilk has just made the M1 USA Team.  Joe will be fighting his first fight December 26th in Seattle, WA.  Joe is fighting one of Team France's toughest and we know Joe will represent .

CSC fighter Brandon Reinbold won his fight in Kansas City, MO. Brandon is now the EFL HeavyWeight champion after winning his fight in under a minute by TKO. Congratulations!!!!

CSC took a team of five competitors to a submission grappling tournament in Topeka, KS. For some this was there first competition, everyone did a great job! Thank you to Joe for great coaching! Congratulations and keep it up!!

This past weekend fighters from the Fort Riley Combatives team, teamed up with Combative Sport Center fighters and competed in Omaha, Nebraska. We took home the team trophy for 1st place!!
